This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Crucibull ("Crucibull", "we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and your rights. It applies to the Crucibull app and website.
Rep counting and form analysis run entirely on your device using on-device pose detection. Your camera video is never uploaded, recorded, streamed, or sent to us or any third party, and we do not store images or video. Only the resulting numbers (rep counts, form scores) are saved to your account. We do not use the camera for facial recognition or to identify you.
Account & profile: username, email, age, height, weight, and the goals you pick in onboarding. Training & discipline data: workouts, reps, form scores, streaks, personal records, XP, league standing, your alarm settings (time and reps owed), and wake results (how long from alarm to final rep). App-blocking: the apps you choose to lock are handled by Apple's Screen Time on your device — on iOS those choices and your usage stay private on-device and are not sent to us. Technical data: our providers may process device, log, and security data needed to run and protect the Service.
Subscriptions are handled through your device's app store with RevenueCat. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only your subscription status (e.g. trial, active, cancelled) to unlock Pro.
To provide and sync your account and training; power leaderboards; process subscriptions; send notifications you enable; fix and improve the Service; and meet legal obligations. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are performing our contract with you, your consent (e.g. camera, notifications), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
Your username and ranking stats (level, tier, streak, score, max reps, and your wake times — today's and your best) appear on the public leaderboards. Your email, age, height, weight, alarm time, and pact app choices are kept private and are never published to public leaderboards or profiles.
We use Google Firebase (authentication & database), Google reCAPTCHA / App Check (abuse prevention), Google Analytics (privacy-preserving product analytics — usage trends only, with advertising and cross-context signals disabled), and RevenueCat (subscriptions). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and training data are removed; limited records we must keep for legal, security, or accounting reasons may be retained as required.
You can edit your profile anytime and permanently delete your account and associated data in Account → Security → Delete account. Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your data, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@crucibull.fit; we respond within the time required by law.
Crucibull is for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it. Parents who believe a child under 13 has used Crucibull can contact us.
We protect data with measures including encryption in transit, database access rules, and App Check; no method is 100% secure. We may update this Policy and will change the "last updated" date, with notice for material changes.

Welcome to Crucibull ("Crucibull", "we", "us"). Crucibull is a habit and discipline tool: an alarm silenced by camera-verified exercise, a daily challenge that gates the apps you choose, and the streaks, leagues and leaderboards built on both. These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Crucibull governing your use of the Crucibull app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account, tapping "I agree", or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Crucibull. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian's involvement. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. One person per account; don't share or sell accounts.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial fitness use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or build a competing product from the Service.
You keep ownership of the content you provide, such as your username and profile ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it within the Service to operate features like the leaderboards. You are responsible for the content you provide and confirm you have the right to use it. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
Crucibull's rankings, streaks, wake times, leagues and challenges depend on honest effort. Don't fake reps, spoof the camera or pose detection, manipulate the AI counter or the wake clock (e.g. arming alarms you're already awake and set up for, purely to farm Wake Records), use bots or scripts, or otherwise game the leaderboards. We may reset stats, remove you from rankings, or suspend accounts that cheat.
Never rely on Crucibull as your only alarm for anything important. On iOS 26, Crucibull uses AlarmKit so the alarm can ring even when your phone is locked; on earlier iOS it uses local notifications. Either way, it can fail for reasons outside our control — the operating system may delay, silence, or suppress it (Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, the silent switch, volume, or low-power mode), or the device may restart, update, or run out of battery. We do not guarantee the alarm will fire, be audible, or be dismissable at any particular time. Do not use it for flights, medication, medical care, work shifts, exams, childcare, or any other safety- or time-critical obligation — use your device's built-in alarm for those. Crucibull is not liable for losses caused by an alarm that did not fire or was not heard.
The "pact" — locking apps like Instagram or TikTok behind your daily challenge — is a voluntary self-commitment feature you configure for yourself. Finishing the challenge opens your chosen apps for a window you pick, and you can extend that window with additional verified exercise (for example, one rep for one minute of screen time). This unlock/earn logic is a feature of the app itself. In the web app it is a visible commitment, not system-level enforcement: it does not technically prevent any app from opening, and we do not guarantee that any lock, timer, unlock, or earned-time state will be enforced or accurate. Native versions may add stronger enforcement using operating-system features, always subject to what Apple and Google permit and to your device settings. Crucibull is not a parental-control product and must not be relied on to restrict another person's device use.
Rep counting and form feedback are automated estimates to help you train — not medical, physical-therapy, or professional coaching advice, and they can be wrong. Always use your own judgement. See the Health & Safety section.
Crucibull Pro unlocks the app and is required for continued access after the free trial. New users receive a 3-day free trial; when it ends, Crucibull is locked until you subscribe. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered annually. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by platform and region — currently about $49.99/year through your device's app store. We may present occasional promotional or win-back offers (for example a discounted rate); the price and terms of any such offer are shown to you at the time it is made. Unless you cancel before a renewal, your plan renews automatically for successive periods and your payment method is charged. You can cancel anytime in Account → Plan or through your app-store account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice. In-app purchases are processed by your device's app store under its terms.
Don't use Crucibull to break the law, harass others, post content you don't have rights to, infringe others' rights, or interfere with or attack the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
The Crucibull name, logo, design, software, and content (other than User Content) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any of those rights to you.
You may stop using Crucibull and delete your account anytime (Account → Security → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Terms that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, liability, indemnity) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI feedback, or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crucibull and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for injury, loss, or damages arising from your use of the Service or from exercising. Your use is at your own risk. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Crucibull harmless from claims arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
We may update these Terms; we'll change the "last updated" date and give in-app notice of material changes. Continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the place where Crucibull operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country.

Exercise carries a risk of injury. By using Crucibull you confirm you're physically able to exercise and that you accept this risk.
Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are injured, or haven't been active for a while. Stop immediately and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or discomfort.
Exercising right after waking deserves extra care. You may be groggy, stiff, or lightheaded in the first moments out of bed (blood pressure changes on standing are normal). Take a breath and stand up slowly before starting your reps, keep the floor around your bed clear so you have safe space, turn a light on, and never race the wake clock at the cost of control. If you feel dizzy or unwell, dismiss the alarm and skip the mission — your health always outranks a streak or a leaderboard time.
Crucibull's Trials, targets, and AI form feedback are general fitness guidance generated automatically — they are not medical advice and not a substitute for a doctor or qualified trainer. Warm up, use proper form, train within your limits, and rest when you need to.
You are solely responsible for your own safety. Crucibull and its creators are not liable for any injury or harm resulting from exercise performed using the app.
Crucibull's public leaderboards show usernames and ranking stats for friendly competition. These rules keep it safe.
Your username is public on the leaderboard. No harassment, hate speech, slurs, sexual or violent content, impersonation, or spam in your username or profile. Offensive names are filtered and may be reset or removed.
Reps are camera-verified — don't fake or manipulate your scores. Accounts that cheat the leaderboard or ranking may be reset, suspended, or removed.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Accounts that break these guidelines may be suspended or permanently removed.
